Inclusive Sustainability (research)
Timeframe: january 2017 - october 2017
This is a study about differences in sustainable behavior of Dutch people with and without a migration backgrounds, commissioned by Fawaka Nederland. Instead of seeing ethnicity as the main driver for sustainable behavior, this publication shows that context factors (social economic status, education, geography) determine ones sustainable behavior. It shows the importance of connecting social and ecological policy agenda's in the transition towards a sustainable future.
You can download the publication 'Inclusieve duurzaamheid: een verkenning naar duurzaam gedrag bij Nederlanders met en zonder migratieachtergrond' (2017) here.
Down to Earth Magazine published an interview about this research with me and Thiëmo Heilbron (director of Fawaka Nederland), on their website that can be found here.
